Dear Reviewer,
Thank you for your valuable feedback on our article titled “Spatial heterogeneity and management challenges of ecosystem services trade-offs: A case study in the Guangdong province, China.” We appreciate your comments regarding the assessment of carbon stocks and habitat quality based on land use data.
In response to your query, we would like to clarify that the analysis of climate (natural conditions) on the trade-offs between carbon stocks and habitat quality is scientifically valid. Our study used a combination of remote sensing data, GIS techniques, and statistical analyses to assess these trade-offs. Furthermore, we have provided a detailed explanation in our methodology section regarding the selection of climatic variables that affect these ecosystem services.
Regarding Table 5 and Figure 6 showing the trade-off results between CS and HQ, we assure you that these are credible. The results are based on rigorous statistical analyses, which take into account spatial heterogeneity and other factors affecting ecosystem services. We have also discussed the limitations of our study in our conclusion section.
Once again, thank you for your feedback, which has helped us improve the quality of our article.
Sincerely, [Your Name]
