润色:In the previously published studies, the relationship between ω-3/6 and kidney cancer were not clear. An in vitro study of RCC cell lines showed that PUFAs, including eicosaptaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), reduce the invasive...

In this study, we aimed to investigate the association between ω-36 PUFA levels and kidney cancer using a large-scale GWAS database. Our analysis identified 49 SNPs associated with both ω-3 PUFA and kidney cancer, as well as 51 SNPs associated with both ω-6 PUFA and kidney cancer. To establish causality between these factors, we employed five complementary MR methods. Our findings suggest that there is indeed a correlation between elevated levels of fatty acids and increased risk of kidney cancer. These results highlight the importance of monitoring dietary intake of ω-36 fatty acids in order to reduce the risk of developing this disease. Further research is needed to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between ω-36 and kidney cancer.
