After eliminating linkage disequilibrium, a total of 49 SNPs that demonstrated a strong association with both omega-3 fatty acid and renal cell carcinoma (RCC) were identified through screening. The results obtained from five different MR analysis methods provided compelling evidence of a significant correlation between omega-3 fatty acid intake and RCC risk reduction. These findings suggest that the consumption of omega-3 fatty acids may hold promise as a potential strategy for mitigating the risk of developing RCC, although further research is necessary to confirm this hypothesis.
