MINIO_PROMETHEUS_AUTH_TYPE is an environment variable used to specify the authentication type to be used for accessing the Prometheus metrics endpoint of MinIO. The possible values are “none” and “basic”.
- The “none” value means that no authentication will be required to access the Prometheus metrics endpoint.
- The “basic” value means that basic authentication will be used, which requires a username and password to be provided for access.
If the MINIO_PROMETHEUS_AUTH_TYPE is not set, then the default value is “none”.
