ZIF-8 materials were produced by combining zinc nitrate hexahydrate and 2-methylimidazole at room temperature in a static setting for the current study. The resulting ZIF-8-Eu-derived carbon materials were created through the addition of europium nitrate hexahydrate, followed by calcination and pyrolysis. The structural characteristics and physical features of the produced carbon materials were analyzed using X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy, while their electrochemical properties were examined through cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance, and constant current charge-discharge tests.
