The current research examines 281 Asian international students to investigate whether their nationality and gender affect their views on gender norms and roles in second language (L2) classroom interactions. It also explores if their beliefs about gender norms and roles in three areas of society - family, work, and education - influence these associations. Additionally, the study analyzes narratives from female and male students to determine how learning English impacts their gender perceptions and practices within the English language classroom.
